Wilmette Police Blotter: Underage Drinking Party

DUI

Michael Wojciechowski, 19, 50 Prospect, Larchmont, NY, was arrested June 16 for driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 800 block of Hibbard Road.

Wojciech Jasinski, 22, 9529 Bronx, Skokie, was arrested June 16 for driving under the influence following a traffic stop at Skokie Boulevard and Old Orchard Road. 

Underage Drinking

A 16-year-old was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor after police responded to a loud party complaint in the 600 block of Ridge Road. Police said the teen was visibly intoxicated and they saw numerous open alcohol containers. The teen told police her parents were out of town.  The parents will receive a ticket for parental responsibility when they return, police said. 

Suspicious Incident

Two men went to a home in the 3000 block of Sprucewood Avenue inquiring about doing chimney repair, police said. They left when the homeowner’s caretaker became suspicious of their motives. 

A resident in the 600 block of Gregory Avenue reported an unkown man entered the home and when confronted told the homeowner that he was in the wrong house and left. 

Driving Incidents

Micaela A. Ruiz, 20, 2345 N. Mason Ave., Chicago, was arrested June 14 for driving without a valid driver’s license following a traffic stop in the 900 block of Lake Avenue. 

Criminal Damage

Eggs were thrown at a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Sunset Drive between June 10 and 11. 

Identity Theft

A resident in the 3500 block of Riverside Drive reported that someone attempted to move about $3,500 from his investment account between June 8 and 11. Police reports say it appears his email account was hacked.
