Traffic accident

A female motorist lost control of her vehicle and left the roadway in the 100 block of Central Park on May 26. The vehicle struck a fire hydrant, tree and a wooden fence on private property. The motorist was cited for leaving the roadway and damaging village property.

Underage drinking

A 20-year-old Wilmette man was charged May 27 with illegal consumption of alcohol and obstructing the police in the 1900 block of Lake Avenue. The man tried to flee but was later apprehended.

Two 18-year-olds and a 17-year old were charged with minor consumption of alcohol on May 25 after police responded to a fight in progress. Police reports that about 10 teenagers were fighting and throwing beer bottles in the Jewel parking lot, 411 Green Bay Rd.

Bike damaged at Highcrest School

Someone cut the cable to a bike’s odometer sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on May 21.

Driving violations

A 33-year-old Chicago man was charged May 25 with driving while license suspended, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and disobeying traffic control devise. 

A 43-year-old Evanston man was charged May 25 with driving while license suspended and disobeying traffic control devise.

A 47-year-old Wilmette resident was charged May 24 with driving on a suspended license.
