UPDATED: Are you Without Power?

Village Hall is without power, as well as 5th Street and Linden Avenue as of 8 a.m. Monday.

has left Wilmette residents and Village Hall without power.

Patch spoke with Village Manager Tim Frenzer who encouraged residents to still make non-emergency calls for service to public works and the police department.

ComEd has indicated that more than 615,000 Chicago-area customers are presently without electricity. Approximately 45 percent of these outages (280,000) are localized across the northern suburbs.

"We don't have a sense of when the power is coming back," ComEd Spokesman Tony Hernandez told Patch. "We have 450 crew members out to repair storm outages, working around the clock diligently trying to restore power."

Meanwhile, the power company hasn't been able to provide a specific figure of outages in Wilmette, according to Police Chief Brian King. Police have received about 14 calls regarding down, live wires, according to King.

Patch has put in a call to ComEd to get figures on outages in the area, but we're reaching out to readers to find out whose lights are out.

  2. Old Glenview Road and Hollywood Court
  3. Village Hall (1200 Wilmette Avenue)
  4. Laural Avenue between 4th Street and 8th Street (Trees are also reportedly down in that area, according to a Patch reader)
