Library Board President Endorses Rathe for Village Trustee

Library Board president Cinda J. Axley has endorsed Douglas Rathe for Village Trustee.

The following letter is from Board President Cinda J. Axley.

Dear Editor,

It is my privilege to endorse the candidacy of Doug Rathe for the position of Wilmette Village Trustee.  I have served with Doug for the past 7 years as a fellow trustee on the board of the Wilmette Public Library District. As the current Vice President of the Library Board, Doug has proven himself to be an effective leader.  His strong analytical skills and superior ability to build consensus have been key to our board’s smooth functioning. Doug is completing his twelfth year as a Library Trustee, and during that time he has had a great deal of experience dealing with numerous issues related to the administration of a governmental body, including working with the Library’s Director and overseeing the budgeting process.
