Mixed-Use Development Planned for Green Bay Road Could be Growing

Wilmette village officials say the project's delay is not a red flag for concern, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Plans by Lexington Homes to redevelop 611 Green Bay Road in Wilmette continue to be delayed with the village recently granting the company a third extension on a due diligence review, but the project may now be expanding, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The property, located at the site of a former Ford dealership, is earmarked for a six story building to include a mix of commercial and high-end residential.

The developer is now considering the acquisition of neighboring properties to expand the overall project, reported the Tribune.
