What's on the Agenda: Wilmette Hosts Capital Improvement and Budget Meetings, Aug. 16

The Village of Wilmette is hosting two special meetings tonight, find out what's up.

Wilmette officials will host two big financial meetings tonight. 

First up is the Finance Committee and Municipal Services Committee, which will convene at 4:30 p.m. to discuss the village's 2012 to 2016 Capital Improvement Plan.

Part of that discussion will be carried over for the Committee of the Whole meeting at 7 p.m. Highlights from that agenda include:

  1. Discussion regarding property
  2. A breakdown of the 2011 budget performance as well as projections for the upcoming fiscal year. 
  3. Initial 2012 water and sewer rates will be established, as well as the tax levy parameters for the upcoming fiscal year.
