Wilmette Garbage and Recycling Collection Delayed for Holidays
Village offices will also be closed on Christmas.
Information provided by the Village of Wilmette:
Due to the observance of the Christmas Day and New Year’s Day holidays, refuse and recycling collection services will be delayed by one day for residents with collection on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays:
- For residents with collection normally scheduled for Tuesday, collection will occur on Wednesday.
- For residents with collection normally scheduled for Thursday, collection will occur on Friday.
- For residents with collection normally scheduled for Friday, collection will occur on Saturday.
Note: Refuse and recycling will be collected on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, so residents with Monday collections will not be affected by the delay.

Village Offices will also be closed on Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1 in observence of the Holidays.
