Wilmette, Glenview Park Districts Partner to Offer Reduced Golf Fees

The partnership aims to reduce golf fees for residents while the villages' course undergoes renovation.

Glenview Park District has agreed to offer Wilmette golfers resident rates at Glenview Park Golf Club while Wilmette Golf Club undergoes renovation, in return Wilmette Park District will also offer Glenview golfers resident rates when Glenview’s golf course is renovated next year, Chicago Tribune reported.

The two park districts realized that they were going to be renovating in back-to-back years so the exchange-of-services agreement between the two villages was both pragmatic and neighborly, “We saw this as an opportunity to take care of our community and our golfers,” Steve Wilson, executive director of Wilmette Park District told the newspaper.

Wilmette Golf Club will close July 29 for a $2 million renovation, which aims to reduce flood problems and provide new challenges--the renovation is the largest ever at the golf club.
