Wilmette Homeowner Fined $3K For Remodeling Without Permits

A Leamington Avenue homeowner was fined after remodeling the house without having the required permits, Wilmette Life reported.

Wilmette homeowner Carlos Moreno was fined $3,000 for remodeling his home on Leamington Avenue without the required permits, Wilmette Life reported.

During an inspection village staff discovered that Moreno built a second floor onto the house without the required permits, the newspaper reported. Trustees approved an agreement with Moreno that states the fine and allows him to finish remodeling the home at 828 Leamington Avenue, Wilmette Life reported.
