Wilmette-Kenilworth Patch Election HQ: Your One-Stop Election Guide

Everything you need to know April 5.

It's here—Election Day is upon us. For those of you who didn’t get a chance to today is the final opportunity to fulfill your civic duty.

Whether it’s your first election or your 50th, Wilmette-Kenilworth Patch will have everything you need to stay-up-to-date throughout the day and into the night. We’ll be around town to chat with residents, take exit polls, share election-day photo galleries and speak with candidates. Expect hourly return updates starting at 8 p.m. and stay tuned for interviews with winners.

This year, Wilmette-Kenilworth has several contested races—District 39 School Board, Wilmette Village Board, New Trier School board and a proposed tax hike on the table. Citizens will choose amongst incumbent Mike Basil, Mike Bailey, Bob Bielinski, Dan Kaplan, Doug Rathe and Julie Wolf for Wilmette Village board. D39 candiates include two incumbents, Karen L. Donnan and Keith Dronen, as well as  Alice Schaff and Laurie Stogin. And finally, Patrick O'Donoghue, Greg Robitaille, Joel Goldhar, Lori Goldstein, Timothy Scherman, and Peter Fischer will compete for three seats in the District 203 race. Additionally, District 39's referendum proposes an increase of the tax base by $6.375 million for local residents. Catch up on the controversy here
