Groupon Co-Founder Sells Evanston Mansion For $4 Million

Mason's former Evanston estate has lake views from every room and 186 feet of Lake Michigan frontage.

Groupon co-founder and former CEO Andrew Mason recently sold his 5-bedroom lakefront estate in Evanston for $4.07 million, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Mason and his wife moved to San Francisco last spring, not long after the Groupon board fired him as CEO, and placed his home on the market for $4.2 million in September, the Tribune reports. It sold on Dec. 4, according to Blockshopper.
The 4,963 square-foot mansion sits on nearly an acre in northeast Evanston, with lake views from every room, according to Zillow. It has two fireplaces, pecan paneling in the library and a guest suite with bedroom and bathroom over a three-car garage. The 185-feet of Lake Michigan frontage leads to two beaches, according to Zillow
