D39 to Purchase More iPads

Wilmette's School District 39 will launch the program within the next school year.

Central, Highcrest and Wilmette Junior High School classrooms will participate in District 39's iPad expansion initiative in the coming school year, The Wilmette Beacon reports.

A classroom at each school will have 25 to 30 iPads for teachers to check out. The district currently owns 90 iPads, according to The Beacon.

The project will be implemented early next school year, but not the first day of classes, according to Adam Denenberg, D39's director of technology and media services. (Earlier: D39 Gets Financial Recognition from State, Teachers to Participate in Gates' Non-Profit)
