FREE Alzheimer's Disease & Other Dementias Workshop-Capturing Life's Journey

Are you caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias? Do you want help learning techniques for coping and caring for your aging loved one? Please join us for our second of four free family education workshops at the Wilmette Public Library. Read below for an overview of this workshop.


Capturing Life’s Journey


This workshop will help you:

1) Learn the techniques of “Capturing Life’s Journey,” and how it can help you provide the best possible personalized care for your loved one as well as manage difficult behaviors such as wandering, aggression, and repetition.


2) Learn techniques and tactics to encourage your loved one to share their stories and memories, and how to bring comfort to them during confusing and frustrating times.

3) Become familiar with the format of a “Life Journal” and how to record information about your loved one’s past.


4) Find out how to use a “Life Journal” in partnership with professional caregivers, other family members, and friends.
