NEW TRIER SCHOOL BOARD CAUCUS SEEKING CANDIDATES TO BE SLATED

(September 13, 2012, Winnetka, IL) - The New Trier High School Board of Education (District #203) Caucus is soliciting applications from interested candidates who wish to seek election to the New Trier High School Board in the April 2013. The Caucus, which has been in place since 1955, will review applications, interview candidates and then recommend a slate of four candidates for school board positions who will stand for election next April. School board members elected in April will serve a four year term. The deadline for submitting an application is September 29th at 5 p.m.


Interested candidates must complete and submit a Prospective Board of Education Candidate Data Sheet (“Candidate Form”) and submit the completed Candidate Form to either Bruce Lyon, Caucus Chair, or OnnieScheyer, Caucus Secretary. Interested candidates can obtain a copy of the Candidate Form, or ask questions regarding the process, by contacting Mr. Lyon (blyon@lcllaw.com) or Ms. Scheyer (onnieshy@yahoo.com). The deadline for submission of the Candidate Form is September 29that 5 p.m.


            The Caucus will interview candidates who have completed and submitted the Candidate Form on October 9th, 10th, 16th and 17that New Trier High School. Prospective candidates must appear before the full caucus for an interview.


            The New Trier School Board Caucus consists of representatives from all electoral districts in the area that make up the New Trier High School district. The next Caucus meeting will be September 19th at the Northfield campus of New Trier High School.
