School for  the first in a series of Clara Baker Belle Speaker Series honoring NLU's founder and visionary Elizabeth Harrison, who 125 years ago began the Kindergarten Movement. Rarely has there been a better time to focus on the early period of progressive education in Chicago - lead by the Kindergarteners - women who founded the first
kindergartens in 1874. Discussion will center on how this movement provided the first training to young women and mothers and spawned institutions destined to
forward the movement.
