New Trier Assistant Superintendent Retires After 15 Years

Donald Goers say he plans to take a two-week vacation in Europe before deciding on his next step, Winnetka Talk reported.

 

After serving New Trier High School for 15 years as the assistant superintendent, Donald Goers will be retiring on June 29, Winnetka Talk reported. 

The Northern Illinois University alum told Winnetka Talk that he plans to take his first two-week vacation ever in Europe with his family to celebrate he and his wife’s 35th wedding anniversary.

New Trier Township High School District 203 has hired Cheryl Witham as the new assistant superintendent for finance and operations to replace Goers. 

Witham is currently Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations at Oak Park and River Forest High School District 200 and will start work at New Trier this summer.

In Witham’s new role, she will serve as the chief financial and operation officer for District 203, managing all business and operational services, overseeing insurance, transportation, food service and purchasing programs, as well as representing the district as the chief negotiator in bargaining with employee associations.
