New Trier Soliciting Input on Winnetka Campus Project
A series of workshops will seek feedback from residents about the proposed new facility.
New Trier High School invites all residents to participate in a series of upcoming workshop meetings and tours as the District considers a targeted solution to replace three adjacent buildings that are among the oldest and most inaccessible on its Winnetka Campus.
The potential project focuses on the 1912 Cafeteria, 1931 Tech Arts Building, and 1950 Music Building. Those buildings would be replaced by a new facility that would more than double the amount of student and classroom spaces on the same footprint – going from 125,000 sq. ft. in the existing buildings to approximately 275,000 sq. ft. in the new building.
The proposal would add new academic classrooms and elective spaces, improve energy efficiency by replacing old boilers and cooling systems that have outlived their useful life, enhance accessibility for people with disabilities, and replace buildings that are in constant need of repair.

The feedback of community members is essential as the District considers this scaled-back solution for its aging buildings. All residents are encouraged to attend one of these workshop meetings and tours:
(All meetings except May 27 will take place in the Winnetka Campus Student Cafeteria, 385 Winnetka Avenue)
