New Trier Swim Team Makes Waves in Day One of State Swim

New Trier High School is making a strong showing so far at the State Swim Meet.

The New Trier High School Boy's Swim Team is participating in this weekend's state swim meet, which is held in their own turf at New Trier High School. 

At the end of Day 1 of the meet, the team was making a strong showing, with the team's standings as follows:

  • Reed Malone in first place for both the 200-yard freestyle swim and the 500-yard freestyle.
  • Jae Park in second place for the 200-yard individual medley.
  • David Schriesheim in 11th place for the 50-yard freestyle.
  •  Jack Mangan in 5th place for the 100-yard freestyle and in sixth place for the 100-yard backstroke. 

One relay team, made up of  Jack Mangan, Jae Park, Brian Walsh, David Schriesheim, is in first place at the end of Day 1 in the 200-yard Medley Relay.

Another relay team, made up of David Tao, David Schriesheim, Conor Fotsch, Reed Malone, is at third place in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
