VIDEO: New Trier Seniors Share Their Career-World Experience

Roughly 100 seniors showed off their experiences in the Senior Projects Program last week.

New Trier's senior project program gives students the freedom to engage their interests and garner real world experience. This year, 100 students participated in the four-week program, which was piloted with 20 students in 1992. It is a “capstone educational experience” for seniors, said Susan Thorngren, one of the program's coordinators .

About 85 percent of the participants select career-related activities, according to Thorngren. Check out Patch's video to see what some seniors did and how they intend to pursue these passions post-graduation.
