Look to the skies Monday to catch a glimpse.

Written by Megan VerHelst.

So will the skies cooperate over Wilmette so we can all witness the most super "supermoon" this year?

The answer is maybe. The weather forecast says there’s a 30 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms Monday, when the moon will appear super large and super close to Earth.

On July 22, the moon is at perigee - its closest approach to Earth, according to EarthSky.org.
