Located on a tiny half-acre plot, Bateman Park is surrounded by much larger Gillson Park near the Lake Michigan shoreline. Founded in 1916, when Wilmette leased some land that was owned by the Chicago Sanitation Department, Bateman Park is located at the corner of Michigan and Sheridan.
