I have had multiple children at WCNS continually since the 2006-07 school year, and have two more years to go! My children have all thrived within those walls and on the playground, and just love going there. Every Tuesday when my kindergartener has Enrichment at WCNS after school, he has the biggest smile on his face as he flys out of the car onto the playground to be with his friends. I have served on the volunteer Board for several years which has caused me to be in the school at times I may not have normally been there, and to interact with the teachers in ways I may not normally have interacted with them. This has given me a different perspective, and I can honestly say, every time I am in the school, I am struck by the competence and love that radiate from the teachers and staff. I also find the children in the school and their parents to be wonderful and have met many amazing people through my involvement in the school.

My daughter has been at Wilmette Community for 2 years now and she still wakes every morning excitedly asking "is today a school day?" and when the answer is yes, she has a spring in her step the rest of the day! When I was choosing a preschool I found that Wilmette Community had everything I was looking for and so much more. The teachers are so nurturing to each child and really seem to embrace their individual qualities. The director is amazing and the parent dedication and involvement is unparalleled!

Hands down WILMETTE COMMUNITY NURSERY SCHOOL is THE best preschool in New Trier Township! Don't just ask me -- ask my two children (3rd will be there next year)! So many wonderful things to say, so little space to write about the amazing Director, staff, curriculum, environment, and community. My family is SO fortunate to be part of this preschool that has been serving the New Trier Township for over 50 Years!

I could not imagine a better pre-school program. From the caring and knowledgeable teachers to all of the unique special programs that are offered we couldn't be more pleased. My 6 yr old loved his four yrs there and we're enjoying 'round 2' now w/our 2 yr old!

We have been sending our girls to WCNS for the past three years and have been truly impressed with the programming and the staff of the center. Apart from the standard, but terrific preschool offering, WCNS offers enrichment programs: Mid-day Mysteries, Explorations, and Natural Discoveries which extend the day for the children. These programs (in addition to the preschool program) have helped develop our daughters' sense of curiosity, urged them to think like scientists, and helped them make connections to the world around them.

My daughter has had the best experience at WCNS. She didn't come into the program until her last year before Kindergarten, but was welcomed with open arms. The community has been so welcoming and warm. We have made the dearest friends already and look forward to the years ahead at WCNS with our son. The program is very child-centered and the director and teachers are extremely patient, nurturing and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to join not only a great school, but a community.

All my children have had wonderful experience. The teachers are experts in dealing with all types of children, and their patience is endless. I especially love the emphasis on outdoor play...the kids play outside in all types of weather and are encouraged to explore their environment. The special events--beach walks at Gillson Park, field trips to learn how to make maple syrup, behind-the-scenes trip to the grocery store-- really make WCNS stand out from the crowd of preschools out there.

The staff and director at WCNS hold an unmatched understanding of the young child. The bright and clean classrooms invite children to naturally engage and explore while nurturing (and seasoned) teachers encourage their social and emotional growth through their "play". The smiles and hugs that you are greeted with each day are the icing on the cake. There is a reason why WCNS is celebrating over 50 years of learning!

After 9 years at WCNS (and two more to go!), I can wholeheartedly say that this school has the most caring, dedicated and knowledgeable teachers around. They say it takes a village to raise children. I am so fortunate that the WCNS teachers are a part of the “village” that helped raise my three daughters.

Wilmette Community Nursery School has a fantastic program and wonderful teachers. Our 5 children have all attended and had a remarkable experience. I highly recommend this school for anyone looking for a caring, nuturing, educational and fun program for their children.
