For more than 130 years, the Wilmette Police Department has been serving the community. Since 1991, it has been required for officers on the force to hold a four-year college degree. The police release a series of crime alerts on a weeklly basis through TV, print media and e-newsletters.
The police office is located just south of St. Joseph's church on Ridge.
