I urge the board to consider the well-being of the community at-large in permitting the Wilmette…Read More Harbor Association a lease of the harbor so that the remarkable level of a professional harbor may be maintained. I am certain, without any doubt, that the Wilmette Harbor Association is the only entity who is capable of maintaining the same calibre of professionalism and care in the management of the harbor.
I am most heartened by the fact that there are many people who have worked faithfully to see this plan of prosperity enacted. These are great people who, while saddened by the unfortunate discourse, remain faithful and optimistic in securing a safe and professionally-run harbor through the work of the long-time management, the Wilmette Harbor Association.

I would prefer the focus on the first part of that transaction. Bagging groceries in a competent and…Read More complete manner. I often help bag my groceries because I spent my high school years working in a grocery store, so I just got particular about it, and it speeds the line along. I am usually pretty casual about it, but it seems this gives the go ahead for the cashier to pull out her phone and start texting or the bagger a reason to dump three things sloppily in one bag and walk away. Thank goodness for self check out. I don't think walking me to my car would improve my perception of their customer service; I think if they want to improve that, they should start with expecting employees to improve the services they already do with little pride and courtesy. A "good morning/evening" and "thank you and have a nice day" would go a long way too.

Although the offer is considerate, especially for people who really need the assistance, personally speaking, I refuse to have anyone following me to my car, it is intrusive and unnecessary. If they however insist on this practice, I will certainly shop elsewhere.
