Wilmette Library Visitor Wins National Trivia Contest, Trip to Baseball Hall of Fame

The Wilmette resident took his father and son along for the memorable vacation.

The following information was provided by the Wilmette Public Library: This past summer Wilmette resident Stuart Wolf noticed a sign at the Wilmette Public Library announcing a national baseball trivia contest called “Step Up to the Plate.” He entered the contest, and last month found himself — along with his son and his father — as the contest’s grand prize winner on a V.I.P. tour of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Wolf knew that his father, 86-year-old Sherman Wolf of Chicago, who once worked for the Chicago White Sox, had always wanted to visit the Cooperstown, New York, Hall of Fame.
