Patch Poll Results: Bring in a Drug Store

Readers had plenty of other suggestions for what should replace Borders at Edens Plaza.

While Patch's poll asking what should replace the closed Borders at Edens Plaza didn't receive many responses, readers offered plenty of suggestions through comments and Tweets. Wilmette village manager Tim Frenzer said he's heard speculation that a pharmacy could be one new tenant at the 30,000-square-feet space, which has been vacant for six months. While 34 percent of voters chose that option, making it the poll's winner, reader Alfred Mulle disagreed. "Let's have something that is actually useful! Not another useless bank/cleaner/antique store or yet another Walgreens/CVS," he wrote. "Lets bring a big box store in there!" Readers going by Travis and G Baker agreed with Mulle's sentiment.
