Craigslist Ad Leads to Cocaine Bust in Wilmette

Waqas Bhatti, 26 of Chicago, was arrested on Aug. 31 for allegedly attempting to deliver a controlled substance.

Wilmette detectives arrested a Chicago man on Aug. 31 in the 100 block of Green Bay Road for allegedly attempting to deal cocaine, TribLocal reports. Police discovered a Craigslist ad in which Waqas Bhatti, 26, was supposedly offering to sell the drug. Authorities used the site to arrange a meeting with Bhatti in the 100 block of Green Bay Road last Wednesday, according to police reports. Earlier: Wilmette Police bust man for allegedly attempting to sell Adderall  This is the second arrest made via Craigslist by Wilmette Police. Bhatti was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. Stay tuned to Patch for more on the story.
