Police: Hit-and-Run Driver Caught Driving Drunk
A suspect has been arrested in Wednesday's hit-and-run accident in Wilmette after being charged with a D.U.I. in Arlington Heights.
A 19-year-old Chicago woman is being charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to aid or give information and improper backing after a hit-and-run accident in Wilmette on Wednesday, Wilmette Police reports state. Jasmine Moore, 19, of Chicago, was involved in a hit-and-run accident in the 3500 block of Lake Ave, police reports state. The incident started as a minor property damage traffic crash at Edens Plaza, between two vehicles, according to police. The victim told police that Moore's car struck her vehicle, and Moore fled the scene.
