Leader Builds Mosque to Better Community

Local mosque president aims to give back to the country that adopted him.

This week's Patch Portraits also feature an Oak Park basketball coach who's turning his illness into a message and a Deerfield vet who's willing to go door to door. Muhammad Saiduzzaman came to the United States from Bangladesh shortly after he finished high school to study engineering and later business. Today Saiduzzaman serves as the director of operations for a multi-national electronics manufacturing company based in Lake Bluff. When Saiduzzaman finished college and began his professional life and family, he was still hungry for something more.
