New Trier Homeowners Can Appeal Property Tax Assessments

Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin is encouraging township residents to appeal their property tax assessments by October 16.

Homeowners who live in New Trier Township can appeal their 2012 property tax assessments. Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin is encouraging property owners to appeal to the Board of Review for property taxes payment due in 2013. Suffredin said assessments for New Trier homeowners can potentially be reduced, and that could also decrease the amount of taxes that have to be paid by August  of next year. To appeal your property tax assessment, you may file in person at the Skokie Office of the Cook County Board of Review, located at 5600 Old Orchard Road in room 155 in the Skokie Courthouse.
