Meet Patch Editors at this Saturday's Autumn Festivals

Your friendly neighborhood Patch editors will be meeting folks, serving cider and giving out shwag at festivals happening in Glenview and Deerfield this Saturday.

Autumn Festivals are fundamentally different from all other festivals — they're apple flavored and dressed in flannel. Looking for something to do with the family this weekend? Stop by one of the upcoming fall events and revel in the North Shore's autumnal glory. Weather permitting, editors from Glenview will be serving free apple cider at the Wagner Farm event, and rumor has it the Deerfield editor may or may not be teaching folks at Harvest Fest secret North Shore handshakes.

National Ag Day is actually March 15th, which falls during National Ag Week, March 13th-19th. Due to cold March weather, Wagner Farm and the Farm Bureau decided to postpone Ag Day until April. Students found soggy, muddy ground when they arrived but it didn't dampen their excitement to see the enromous farming equiptment, sheep, pigs, cows and chickens.  For the Farm Bureau, Ag Day is an opportunity to teach students about different areas of agriculture and some of Illinois' biggest commodities.  This was the second time Wagner Farm and the Cook County Farm Bureau …
