Earlier: Wilmette Blotter: $3,000 Bike Stolen, Theft at Centennial Pool, Wilmette Recreation Center Arrest Alfred T. Scott, 29 of 11709 S. Lafayette, Chicago, was arrested Aug. 6 on one count of felony theft. While investigating a complaint of an aggressive pan-handler at 4th Street and Linden Avenue, officers were informed that Scott was a person of interest in a theft that occurred in March. Thomas R. Jewelry Theft Jewelry valued at $19,900 were stolen from a home in the 80 block of Indian hill between June 23 and 27. The resident told police he had a cleaning crew and someone clean the inside of his windows during the time frame of the theft. Among the items stolen were a diamond ring, gold necklace and earrings. Jewelry and other items valued at $6,000 were stolen from a home in the 300 block of Greenleaf Avenue between the overnight hours of June 25 and 26.
