Evanston, Wilmette Team Up to Repair Isabella Street

Work starts Monday, Feb. 25, and is expected to last until the end of May.

Part of Isabella Street will be shut down for construction beginning Monday, Feb. 25, for approximately one week. The City of Evanston and the Village of Wilmette are working together to give the street a major makeover, with construction expected to last through the end of May, according to a press release.  The project will take place on Isabella Street between Highland Avenue and Ewing Avenue/ 14th Street and will include the installation of a relief sewer, concrete repairs to curbs, roadway base repair, asphalt resurfacing and selected sidewalk and driveway apron replacements. There will be no direct charge for abutting property owners for the repair work.  Street Closures and Parking Prohibitions  Two blocks will be closed at a time …
