Go Green Wilmette Parades, Provides Home Tour to Encourage Energy Efficiency
The organization won the community category in the holiday parade and will offer a green home tour in early December.
Go Green Wilmette is reaching out to the Wilmette community in many ways. Holiday Parade Did you know they were active participants in the Wilmette Holiday Parade and were the winners in the “Community Category”? There were 24 Go Green Wilmette participants including members of the Central School Green Team. They biked, rollerbladed and walked. Thanks to the Robertson family, there was a bright orange Tesla with its KIKS GAS license plate, a Toyota Prius with a “REDUCE” license plate and a double-person pedal surrey festooned with signs. Richard Huszagh wore the Plastic Bag Monster costume. There were banners, signs and even dogs in green t-shirts. Kudos to Margrit Kuehn for organizing this event, and to everyone who marched in it. …
