Identity Theft A victim on the 1600 block of Sheridan Rd. reported to police on April 15 that he received a notification from the IRS that they were conducting an accuracy view of his tax return, Wilmette Police reports state. The victim notified the IRS that he had not filed his 2012 taxes yet. The IRS requested that he file a police report. Identity Theft A victim reported to police that their credit cards were being used by an unknown person in Texas, police reports state. The cards were cancelled and replaced. The incident occurred on April 5. Identity Theft On April 11, the concerned son of a 92-year-old man on the 2000 block of Highalnd Ave. that sometime between August 1 and April 2, the resident, who suffers from dementia, had been the victim of identity theft. There had been an attempt to open a charge account and he had received notice from the IRS that a tax return had been filed. The garage was locked but there was a gap by the lock to the service door, allowing access to the lock. An unknown offender(s) removed two bikes. Druving Under the Influence, Consumption of Alcohol by Minors Timothy Dieschbourg, 18, of Glenview, is being charged with driving under the influence and consumption of alcohol by a minor, and Reid D. Fuente, 18, of Waukegan and Marco Aguilar, 18, of Waukegan are being charged with consumption of alcohol by minors, according to Wilmette Police reports. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Lake St. and Carrie Ann on March 29 for traffic violations. The driver, Dieschbourg, was asked to submit to sobriety tests, which he failed. Teen Crashes Vehicle After Fight With Passenger A woman called police at 10:52 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, to report that a man came to her backdoor asking for help, his face covered in blood. When officers arrived, they found the man sitting in her driveway, according to police. He told police that a passenger in his car hit him the face several times, causing him to crash his vehicle into a Wilmette Park District bus. Traffic Dispute Leads To Battery at Fresh Market A 47-year-old Wilmette resident told police that he was the victim of a battery at Fresh Market, 3232 Lake Ave., following a traffic dispute around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 24. The man said the offender stopped his car in front of the store, blocking his path. He gave the offender an offensive hand gesture as he drove around the offender to park. The offender then decided to follow him into the store, to “rough him up, ” police said, and slapped him on the shoulder. Since the offender apologized to the man, he decided not to file a complaint.
