Police: 19-Year-Old Arrested for D.U.I.

Burglary to Auto A resident on the 1500 block of Wilmette Ave. reported that between May 14 and May 15, and unknown offender(s) entered her unlocked vehicle overnight and went through all of the compartments of the vehicle, police reports state. The only item missing was a pair of Bose in-ear headphones. Theft at the L-Station A resident on the 100 block of Prairie Ave. reported that unknown offender(s) took his mothers locked bike from the bike rack at the Linden L Station at 339 Linden Ave. sometime between May 10 and May 15, police reports state. D.U.I. Kelly Minx, 19, of Glenview is being charged with driving under the influence, Wilmette Police reports state. Minx was pulled over for traffic violations at the intersecton of Lake Ave. …

Police: Hit-and-Run Driver Caught Driving Drunk

A suspect has been arrested in Wednesday's hit-and-run accident in Wilmette after being charged with a D.U.I. in Arlington Heights.

A 19-year-old Chicago woman is being charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to aid or give information and improper backing after a hit-and-run accident in Wilmette on Wednesday, Wilmette Police reports state. Jasmine Moore, 19, of Chicago, was involved in a hit-and-run accident in the 3500 block of Lake Ave, police reports state. The incident started as a minor property damage traffic crash at Edens Plaza, between two vehicles, according to police. The victim told police that Moore's car struck her vehicle, and Moore fled the scene. The victim followed Moore's vehicle until Moore eventually stopped in the 3500 block of Lake Ave., where the victim approached her vehicle. Moore …

Wilmette Hit-and-Run Driver Leaves Fender-Bender with Woman Clinging to Vehicle

Wilmette police are looking for a woman involved in a traffic accident on the 3500 block of Lake Avenue Wednesday.

  Wilmette police say they are looking for a woman who apparently took off from a minor accident Wednesday, with another woman clinging to the side of her vehicle, Wilmette Life reported.  Wilmette Police Chief Brian King says the May 15 incident started as a minor traffic accident on the 3500 block of Lake Avenue but when one of the drivers involved approached the other vehicle, the woman behind the wheel drove off with the victim clinging to the side of the car, Wilmette Life reported.  For the full story, visit: Wilmette.Suntimes.com

Police: Suspect Arrested During Car Burglary-in-Progress

Mark Leondorf, a 19-year-old Wilmette resident, was caught burglarizing a Wilmette vehicle on Tuesday.

Mark Leondorf, 19, of Wilmette is in police custody after he admitting to burglarizing a car on the 900 block of Chestnut Ave on Tuesday, Wilmette Police reports state. Wilmette Police apprehended Leondorf around 5:30 p.m. on May 14 after a resident called about a burglary-in-progress. The resident confronted Leondorf when he was inside one of the family's vehicles. Police reports state that he fled the scene but was located by responding officers at the intersection of 9th St. and Forest Ave. He was identified in a show-up and arrested. Police reports state that Leondorf admitted to entering the vehicle and was charged with burglary to auto. He was held by police overnight and attended a bond hearing on Wednesday. Police: Woman Arrested for Prostitution Warrant

Battery Two visiting caretakers at a home on the 3500 block of Walnut St. got into a verbal and then a physical confrontation, Wilmette Police reports state. The incident happened on May 9.   Lost/Stolen Property A victim reported losing her wallet at an unknown location in Evanston that serves adult beverages sometime between May 8 and May 10, police reports state. She reported it at the station for informational purposes only. Outstanding Warrant Officers responded to a complaint of localized street flooding from a pool service draining a swimming pool into the sewer, police reports state. Police: Juice Cooler Stolen from Jewel Foods

Theft Employees at the Wilmette Recreation Center — at 3000 Glenview Rd. — contacted police after 2 locks appeared to had been tampered with and one needed to be cut off of the locker, police reports state. There were no reports of theft at the time of the report. The possible offender was observed on video surveillance.  Theft The store manager of Jewel Foods at 1517 Sheridan Rd. reported that on May 2, an unknown offender — possibly scrappers — took a juice cooler from the dock near the dumpster, police reports state. The cooler was to be sent in for repair and was mistakenly put on the dock. Wilmette Police reports state the the Medical Group of the North Shore's patient contact information may have been compromised.

The Medical Group of the North Shore (located at 1625 Sheridan Ct.) reported to Wilmette Police that their patient contact information may have been compromised, Wilmette Police reports state. The police report states that an officer met with the Medical Grouop's receptionist, who said that all of the patient's info may have been compromised. She said that the office received two calls about money they allegedly owed. The patients said that they received a call from a collection agency that allegedly represents that Medical Group to seek payment. The patients called the Medical Group, who found that they did not owe any money. The calls from the collection agency are fraudulent and the Medical Group of the North Shore doesn't use a …

Theft Bank Employees at North Shore Community Bank and Trust at 720 12th St. reported that Power Ball Tickets — which had been left in a copy machine — were stolen between 2:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., police reports state. Police: $2,400 Stolen from Regina High School

Fraud A resident on the 1600 block of Spencer Ave. reported that she was contacted by her bank — Bank of America — asking if certain purchases made between April 25 and April 30 were made by her. Her credit card was cancelled since she had not made the purchases, police reports state. A parcel was delivered by UPS that she had not ordered and will be returned by the Wilmette property custodian. Fraud A resident on the 800 block of Oakwood St. reported that she had made a $600 donation to St. Francis School on Jan. 10. She later discovered that the check was cashed into a personal account at Bank of America, police reports state.
