Chicago Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Wilmette Burglaries

Arnold Rogers was sentenced to 20 years for the two Halloween burglaries, months after serving five years in prison for a previous burglary.

A Chicago man was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of residential burglaries in Wilmette, Wilmette Life reported. Arnold Rogers, 42, of the 1400 block of South Canal St. in Chicago was sentenced on Jan. 30 by Judge Garritt Howard, the article states.  Patch reported in November that Rogers was charged with two counts of residential burglary after Wilmette Police reports state that he broke into two Wilmette homes and stole electronics and jewelry. Rogers was later caught by police after officers found him hiding in the bushes, surrounded by the stolen items.  Rogers was charged with the Wilmette burglaries less than a week after being released on parole after serving five years of an 11-year sentence for …

Police: Wilmette Home Burglary Arrests Lead Detectives to Stolen Car

Wilmette police arrested two Chicago men in connection with a Dec. 4 burglary and a third man for allegedly stealing a car.

Wilmette police arrested two Chicago men who are suspected of breaking into a Wilmette home, stealing jewelry and electronics, and pawning the goods in Chicago, police reported. Police say Syed Mujeebulla Qadri, 20, and Michael T. Rosellini, 20, entered a home in the 1500 block of Lake Avenue on Dec. 4 through an unlocked door and stole several pieces of jewelry, an Apple iPod, a “docking station”, an Apple iPhone, a digital camera and cash. The two men pawned some of the stolen property shortly after the burglary, according to a police press release. Wilmette detectives said they traced some of those goods to a Chicago pawn shop and found additional items in the suspects’ Chicago homes. While investigating the burglary, Wilmette …
