Obituary: Mary M. Thalmann

The 101 Wilmette resident was the former manager of the St. Joseph School cafeteria and a longtime caterer on the North Shore.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday for Mari D. Terman, 77, of Wilmette. Mari was the beloved wife of Dr. David M. Terman, the loving mother of Mark Terman, Anne (Marcus) Wedner and Dr. Eric (Mari Philipsborn) Terman. She was also the proud grandmother of Jeremy, Michael, Dora, Martha, Eli and Audrey. Mari was the dear sister of Louise (Burton) Wides, John DeCosta and the late Catherine (Stuart) Burstein. 103-year-old Wilmette Woman Dies

Mari W. Ryan was born Sept. 22, 1909. Visitation and prayer services will be held Monday.

Mari W. Ryan, 103, of Wilmette, formerly of Northfield and Vero Beach, Florida, passed away Wednesday in her home. She was born in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, as one of six children and moved to Illinois in 1955 with her late husband, John P. Ryan. Mari was the daughter of the late Charles C. Wickstead and the late Minnie M. Goller Wickstead. Mari is survived by her children Mari (Joel) Dysart and John P. Jr. (Nancy) Ryan; six grandchildren Patricia (John) Heneghan, Joan (Vince) Tedeschi, Bob (Terese) Dysart, Jay (John P. III) Ryan (Diana Sudyka), Sally (Kent) Kolbe, Michael Ryan (Loralee Stevens) and 12 great grandchildren.
