Chicago Bears' Jay Cutler Renting North Shore Home

The Bears quarterback and his fiancé Kristin Cavallari have rented a nine-room mansion in Winnetka.

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and his fiancé, Kristin Cavallari, have rented a 6,718-square-foot mansion with nine rooms in Winnetka, Chicago Tribune reported.  The home features a three-car garage, seven fireplaces, six full baths, a wood-paneled library and a kitchen with marble counters, Chicago Tribune reported. “I’m a suburbanite now…In L.A. you have to be so careful about what you say and who you trust. It’s such an awful way to live. [In Chicago] people want to get to know you for you. I feel like I can just breathe,” Cavallari told Splash on her move to Winnetka.

WCR members of the past and present celebrated their network.

The North Shore Chapter of Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) held their 40th Anniversary Celebration at Lovell's in Lake Forest last Thursday. Many of the presidents from the past 40 years took part in the event, including Ruth Thiel, the first chapter president in 1972 and 1973. “Forty years is a long time when you think that in 1972, gas was 55 cents a gallon, rent was $165 per month and a pair of jeans was $12,” she joked during her speech. Thiel noted that the most valuable part of the WCR was the support network that comes from it. “The amazing thing is the cooperation that comes through the…

But real estate agents across the North Shore say that one group has an advantage: buyers. In the North Shore especially, there's a surplus of houses but a dearth of buyers. That means those who want to move in have the hitherto unusual luxury of being the ones with the power. "If you're a young person with a steady 9-to-5 job, steady income and you haven't damaged your credit yet, it's a perfect time to buy," said Emery Moorehead, chairman of the North Shore Barrington Association of Realtors and a sales associate in Koenig & Strey's Lake Forest …

Please clarify the correlation between the topic at hand, the glut of vacant apartments, and …   more ›
