Hi Andy, I always appreciate your posts and updates, it's in part what make me come to the patch daily. Do you know what is happening with the cursed corner of Roscoe and Clark? Johnny O'Hagans closed, as did the storefront next to it. Then "Rookies" closed and now El Jardin Cantina. Thanks

Andy - there's a debate raging on the police blotter that was posted today. Neither of your fellow Patchers LIVE in Lakeview. Us folks in Lakeview are sick and tired seeing sites post this kind of info with getting the full story - a description of the perp (from police reports). What gives? :)

Hey Andy.
A large part of Patch's new mission is aggregation. We're not to withhold news from our readers simply because another publication beat us to the punch. The Sussex Sun did a great job at covering that article, so I lead my readers to the information.
Under the last four weeks of my editorial supervision, Sussex Patch has seen its highest readership numbers ever, so I believe this new method is working.
Thanks for your comment!
Andy.

I'm confused. I clicked on a Patch link to get more information about the proposed Piggly Wiggly remodeling and to see a photo or artist's rendering of same, and the link took me directly to a Sussex Sun article. Hmmm. Really?! When I was editor of this Patch I produced my own news and feature stories.
