ReplyAs long as they are inspected/licensed and have permission from property owners to park on their property, I think they should absolutely be allowed. They provide a fun alternative to takeout.

ReplyWhile I am not a raging alcoholic and have been known to refrain from drinking during the game (stupid night-before-work), I agree that not offering booze means you're going to be cooking for 1. Who wants to go to a party where alchohol isn't even an option?! Kids can be in the midst of alcohol as long as you're not getting so sh*tfaced you're literally falling down drunk in front of them. Also, who has time to play games and crafts with kids when you're trying to watch the big game. Just not realistic unless you could care less about football. In that case, I bet there are a ton of people who would be happy to let you amuse their children while they watch. ;-)

@Frank, the library and Village are separate government and taxing bodies. If you don't like the library expansion you need to address that with the library board, not the Village board. Furthermore, the Village board does not pick and choose who landlords let their vacant retail spaces to, so they had no involvement in the leases for Goodwill or Dollar Tree. (those stores' benefit to our community is an entirely different topic for discussion) What potholes are you referring to? If they are on public streets, you should call them in to Public Works, and I am sure they would be addressed promptly.
