The school says its doors were, indeed, locked.

A thief took off with $14,500 in electronics from the Baker Demonstration School this week and left behind a note on a dry-erase board that read, “Lock yo doors.”

The person entered the school on Sheridan Road between 12:30 p.m. May 26 and 7:30 a.m. May 27, taking computers, cameras and calculators, Wilmette police said.

The thief left notes in two rooms on the dry-erase board, the one about locking doors and another that said “Who made you Bo$$.”
